An Apple A Day

October 6th, 2011 | Exercise

“You’ve got to love what you do”, is a quote from Steve Jobs 2005 Stanford University Commencement address. Not a day goes by that I don’t have an interaction with an Apple product, or think to myself I love what I do. My life has changed since we purchased our first computer back in 1996, which of course was a Macintosh. I owe my training, knowledge, and the tiny bit of technical proficiency that I possess to Mr. Jobs. He made a product that is easy to use, aesthetically pleasing to the eye, and very cool to own.  It is my pleasure to have lived in a world that was occupied by a genius. It is my pleasure to be a fellow Baby Boomer as this creative gifted man was. I’m sure there will be many posts written today regarding the life of this visionary, and I for one did not want to pass up an opportunity to add my comments regarding the impact he had on me. I will miss all of the hype when a new iPhone is introduced, or a new product is launched. Thank you Steve Jobs for inspiring me, encouraging me and bringing out the best in me for you truly are a brilliant man who will shine brightly wherever you may be. Keep healthy and fit by remembering his words: “That’s been one of my mantras — focus and simplicity. Simple can be harder than complex: You have to work hard to get your thinking clean to make it simple. But it’s worth it in the end because once you get there, you can move mountains.”
