Improving With Age
Just like that glass of wine that gets better as it matures, I appear to be seasoning with each race! Wow, yesterday I reached yet another milestone. Before the contest began I mentioned to my niece that my goal for the year was to run one of my races in under 35 minutes. Perhaps it was the saltiness in the year (we were at the Jersey Shore), the flatness of the course or the damp 55 degree weather, whatever it was I was able to run my personal best time in an organized 5k (3.1 mile) race. I found myself the recipient of First Place Senior Female, which was indeed and honor to have granted upon me. Besides being Cinco de Mayo and Kentucky Derby Day which was fabulous in itself; I so enjoyed celebrating with my family and enjoying good food, drink and merriment. Keep healthy and fit by relishing life’s good fortunes!
