Behind Door Number One

Yesterday I attended a wedding that was held on a large farm property. The weather was magnificent (after the short heat wave we experienced in the prior days), the setting was dreamlike and all who attended were treated to a fabulous event. Since the grounds of this wedding were immense, the groom decided to build an entryway to break up the huge area to where the ceremony would take place. What a marvelous idea, and all of this so that his bride could have a little privacy as well, it turned out to be idyllic in every sense of the word.

What the groom did for his bride was epic. He showed his love in a pure and simple gesture. He built the doorway to make the setting homey, cozy, less intrusive, believable, and fairy tale like for his future spouse. I was so impressed by this act of love that I have good feelings in regards to their union.

I only read yesterday that the highest divorce rate presently is among Baby Boomers. Sadly our generation is growing apart in their marriages. So what is behind the door for you in your relationship?
