Independent Me?

If you noticed in this serene photo there is a lone seagull on the horizon. Is this bird independent, did it leave it’s nest for the first time, or is it just a scout searching for food for it’s brood? Are you an independent thinker? Do you form you own opinions and make your own decisions? I know that certain people, places and things influence my thinking, but I like to believe that I am independent and am my own person and I alone came to the conclusion. I have many thoughts and beliefs that I form on my own.

By my own self-determination I was able to shed many pounds and have a clear view of my future. Unfortunately, sometimes life does get in the way and something that was familiar and routine takes precedence over new and life changing styles. I need my independence back again, I need to be self-sufficient and not fall into the trap of that old saying “Familiarity Breeds Contempt”.

I want to gain back my independence again and I’m working and fighting for it. Happy Fourth to all of my readers and followers and may you all become free thinkers and non-conformists only if you care to. Be yourself, be your own person, follow your hopes and dreams!
