My New Passion For Fashion
I’m no slouch when it comes to acknowledging style after all I worked for celebrated companies such as Tiffany & Co. and Lord & Taylor. I know what I like and I usually stick with it for the long run. Plain and simple I’m fond of clean and classic lines that flatter our bodies (and keep our muffin-tops at bay).
I found a new passion for fashion and it started when I innocently tweeted to a Twitter follower about in-sourcing jobs. Here is the exchange:
Dobbin Clothing @dobbinclothing
The key question is: at what point does a small co. feel they must go from producing domestically to producing overseas?
Joanie Jacobsen @BabyBoomerWay
@dobbinclothing the question is should you outsource? Let your conscience be your guide, I’m just saying.
Dobbin Clothing @dobbinclothing
@BabyBoomerWay We completely agree, and fully plan to continue producing 100% here in the USA. We are dedicated to domestic manufacturing.
Any company that keeps jobs in this country as well as continuing to produce high quality design is number one in my book. This small company continues to do so despite these economic hard times. They had me at “WE ARE DEDICATED TO DOMESTIC MANUFACTURING”. Hooray there are still caring and committed small companies who do have consciences!
Besides Dobbin Clothing’s scrupulous mission statement, I have become a big fan of their style as well. Their line is tailored to fit and flatter grown-up bodies, and since we are all that, it is my pleasure to write a post about their impeccable sense of style with us in mind.
If any of you follow me on Pinterest you know that I am a lover of classic styles and Dobbin falls right into that genre. I am proud to feature their line on my blog and would really recommend that you take a moment and look at their website as I’m sure you will all agree with me.
